Experience Garden Lights, Holiday Nights

Nearly 2 billion light bulbs cover the grounds of Atlanta Botanical Garden for Garden Lights, Holiday Nights.

The special exhibits of Garden Lights, Holiday Nights this year are a 144-foot-long wintery white skynet, an even bigger flock of illuminated metal birds and deer, and the return of White Rabbit to the Skyline Garden pond.

You’ll also get to experience the spectacular Nature’s Wonders display featuring a forest of 1,600 synchronized light strings dancing in time with music in Storza Woods; this is said to be the world’s largest curtain of synchronized light and sound.

And the Gardens have transformed their famous “Earth Goddess” into an “Ice Goddess” covered in colorful twinkling lights.

Other highlights include the Tunnel of Lights that’s a rainbow of fun; the elaborate miniature world of Model Trains; the gorgeous Twinkling Terrace with carolers; the dancing Orchestral Orbs on the Great Lawn; and the effervescent Glittering Gallery. It’ll be interesting to see what delights await us this year!

You can also purchase 3-D hologram glasses for $2 that put fun shapes inside the lights. We bought the gingerbread man glasses, and they were so much fun, I’m still wearing them around the house!
