Top Restaurants in San Antonio

1. Tre Trattoria

Italian, Pasta, Pizza

Bowl of pasta with meat and grated cheese

Tre Trattoria is a chic Italian restaurant by famous San Antonio Chef Jason Dady. The house-made pastas and the wood fired pizzas are best enjoyed family style.

The Tuscan-inspired flavors on the menu are always changing, but they never disappoint. Those who have spent a lot of time in Italy will feel right at home.

We loved their Classic Tomato Bruschetta, Pulled-to-Order Fresh Mozzarella, and Pizza Bianca.

The award-winning Saltgrass Steak House honors the legendary Salt Grass Trail where longhorn grazed and were considered the best beef in Texas.

This was my family’s go-to restaurant for our Christmas dinner for the three years we spent Christmas in San Antonio.

Two glasses of white wine

The cozy and intimate Copa Wine Bar offers fine wines at an affordable price, with a wide menu of European and domestic wines alongside tasty tapas.

This is one of the best bars in San Antonio for wine, as well as one of the best tapas restaurants in the city.

I recommend ordering a wine flight, a plate of cheese, and a pizza for the table and sit back and relax.

Casa Rio was the first restaurant to open on the River Walk, and the first restaurant to offer riverside seating. With that, it’s already a must-try restaurant in San Antonio!

The restaurant itself is steeped in history, sitting on land first granted title in 1777 by the King of Spain and next to the first bridge built to cross the river.

Casa Rio boasts a menu of San Antonio-style Mexican, and its colorful array of riverside umbrellas makes it one of the most photographed spots on the river.

Start off with the Shrimp + Crab Fondue, then go for your favorite fish whether its Mahi or Swordfish, or go for the Ribeye or Lobster Tail. No matter what you choose, you’re in for a great meal!

Texas BBQ isn’t like the rest of the South’s BBQ, so this is definitely a must when you’re in Texas.

The County Line serves legendary BBQ of the highest quality, including ribs, brisket, sausage, and chicken. And they serve it in huge portions.

One of the restaurant’s main principles is for its locations to celebrate the heritage of Texas, so it’s no surprise you’ll find this restaurant on the famous San Antonio River Walk.
