Top Restaurants in Florence, AL
1. Odette
American, Southern, Upscale
Odette is a modern, urban, farm-focused restaurant that you’d expect to find in a much bigger city. This neighborhood eatery in historic downtown Florence serves elevated American fare with southern and international influences.
We heard around that Odette has the best hamburger in town. And, we can confirm, their burger is amazing!
I recommend the Odette Cheeseburger or their grilled chicken pasta. Plus, be sure to try one of their inventive cocktails!
120 N Court St, Florence, AL 35630
2. Rosie’s Mexican Cantina
Mexican, Tex-Mex
Rosie’s Mexican Cantina is a Huntsville original, so I already know and love their food. This location in downtown Florence is exactly the same as the original restaurant.
This restaurant serves Tex-Mex classics from quesadillas to enchiladas to fajitas. And definitely order one of their amazing margaritas, frozen or on the rocks!
I always go for their Cheese Enchiladas or their Chicken Enchiladas — or both! Their Fajitas are great, too.
302 N Court St, Florence, AL 35630
3. The Carriage Wine & Market
Wine, Charcuterie
The Carriage Wine & Market has some really tasty wine cocktails and a huge selection of wine. You can also order some light snacks like cheese boards and such.
This is a great pre-dinner cocktail spot; sip a few cocktails or do a little wine tasting before heading over to Odette’s for dinner.
I can recommend the Kip Royale, Cucumber Sake Tonic, and the Strawberry Margarita Sparkler. I think the Sparkler was my overall favorite.
121 E Mobile St, Florence, AL 35630
4. Jack’s Place Bistro
Southern, Brunch
Jack’s Place Bistro in downtown Florence serves classic Southern dishes. This is a great place for brunch.
The executive chef is even a food stylist for TV and movies, so the delicious spreads you see in The Hunger Games, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and more are his creation.
I recommend the French Toast or the Chicken & Waffles. Both are huge portions that will last you throughout your day of exploring Florence!
118 W Mobile St, Florence, AL 35630
5. 306 BBQ
Barbecue, Southern
306 BBQ serves up authentic Southern style barbecue. This barbecue favorite originated from Athens, Alabama and now has locations in both Florence and Muscle Shoals.
On the menu, they have ribs, pulled pork, wings, and turkey and lots of Southern sides.
I recommend the St. Louis Spare Ribs plate or the Smoked Wings plate with Korean BBQ sauce.
Florence: 322 N Court St, Florence, AL 35630
Muscle Shoals: 400 W Avalon Ave suite a, Muscle Shoals, AL 35661
6. Momma Goldberg’s Deli
Momma Goldberg’s Deli originated in Auburn, Alabama. They’ve been serving up fresh, steamed sandwiches since 1976.
This is a great restaurant for a quick lunch, and soon your kitchen cabinets will be filled with Momma G’s cups.
I recommend the Momma’s Love Wrap or the Pastrama Momma sandwich.
1500 Woodward Ave, Muscle Shoals, AL 35661

Other places to dine. George’s Steak Pit in Sheffield. Been there since the 1950s. Ray’s at the Bank in east Florence – southern based cuisine for lunch, more European for dinner. Excellent seafood and steaks. Staggs across the street is the go to place for breakfast.
Thank you for the excellent suggestions!
