Huntsville celebrated the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment with a beautiful 3-story mural called “This Girl Can”. The mural, by Nashville-based artist Kimberly Radford, celebrates women’s suffrage with a young girl reaching high to water a nearby tree growing on Washington Street.

You can find this The World is Your Oyster mural by artist Jessie Andrews at Sea Salt, an urban oyster bar in Downtown Huntsville. It really helps to spruce up the fact that you’re eating in a parking garage!
Location: 114 Clinton Ave E, Huntsville, AL 35801 inside the Clinton Avenue parking garage at the restaurant’s “patio” dining area

Location: 228 Holmes Ave NE, Huntsville, AL 35801 down the stairs to the right
28. Chandelier Mural
This “Chandelier” mural is another Jessie Andrews creation. It’s painted in honor of the 106 Jefferson hotel to complement the hotel’s classy and timeless features, and to tie in with the bold and funky spirit of the neighboring Phat Sammy’s tiki-themed restaurant and bar. You’ll find this mural in the alley behind the buildings.
Location: on the back of 106 Jefferson St S, Huntsville, AL 35801, easily accessed from the alleyway off Clinton Ave
29. The Blind Tiger Mural
The Blind Tiger is an event space in Downtown Huntsville for private events. And on the side of their building is a fitting mural of a tiger. The event space’s name is a reference to a prohibition term for a speakeasy, where a storefront would have an image of an animal hidden throughout the store to indicate there was a speakeasy nearby.
The mural by artist Ryan Benefield features a tiger standing in the middle of a dark floral scene. The mural’s aesthetics match the event space’s sultry speakeasy vibe.
Location: 113 Clinton Ave W, Huntsville, AL 35801
30. Space Graffiti

Just on the other side of 200 West Side Square, inside Big Spring Park East, is the bright blue “Welcome to Huntsville” mural by Gracie Lenox Designs, which makes for a perfect postcard-like picture.

34. AM Booth’s Lumberyard Mural
The historic AM Booth’s Lumberyard has been repurposed for dining and private events. But a mural, by Robert Sallee, on a small shed by the train tracks commemorates the property’s past, depicting a train and its date of establishment — 1895.
Location: 120a Cleveland Ave NW, Huntsville, AL 35801
35. Miss Baker Mural
Miss Baker was the first monkey astronaut — a monkeynaut — and is a Huntsville legend! It’s only fitting she gets her own mural. Chandler Hayes painted this colorful mural of Miss Baker on the side of a Pratt Avenue building.
Location: 500 Pratt Ave NE, Huntsville, AL 35801 around the left side of the building
36. Propst Pharmacy Mural

38. Habitat for Humanity Mural
Habitat for Humanity of the River Valley has a 6-panel mural painted by local artist Bert Corbin. Location: 400 Pratt Ave NW, Huntsville, AL 35801
39. Liquor Express Mural
This mural at Liquor Express and Craft Beer was painted by Robert Bean. The mural, visible from the store’s parking lot, features a gorgeous mountain scene with a mountaintop castle, an astronaut with his pups, a rocket heading toward the moon, and a vintage blue truck driving into the sunset.
Location: 1812 University Dr NW, Huntsville, AL 35801
40. Unity is Love Mural

41. Little Richard Mural
The east-facing façade of Wahlburgers at Huntsville’s MidCity District now features a huge mural of Little Richard painted by artist Logan Tanner. Little Richard left stardom to attend the nearby Oakwood College (now Oakwood University) in 1957. After passing away in May 2020, he was buried at Oakwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Location: 1030 Mid City Dr, Huntsville, AL 35806
42. Aviation Challenge Mural
Trainees at Space Camp’s Aviation Challenge get to learn all about aviation and being a pilot, so it’s fitting that one of its buildings features a mural of two fighter jets on a blue sky. If you’re not one of the Space Camp elite, you can catch a glimpse of this mural across Aviation Pond. Just park at the public parking lot near the U.S. Space and Rocket Center hiking and biking trails.
Location: Public parking lot at Aviation Challenge (when heading to the Space and Rocket Center, follow signs for Aviation Challenge)
43. Energy-Saving Tiny Home Mural
Across the street from the parking lot at Aviation Challenge is the start of the U.S. Space and Rocket Center hiking and biking trails, including the Energy Greenway presented by Nexus Energy Center. At the entrance to this greenway is an energy-saving tiny home that shows you how to live sustainably, featuring a renewable-energy-focused mural on its side.
Location: across from the public parking lot at Aviation Challenge (when heading to the Space and Rocket Center, follow signs for Aviation Challenge)
44. Buenavista Murals
Located on the back of Buenavista Mexican Cantina in Hampton Cove, these murals capture the fun and vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant.
Location: 3045 Mountain Cove Blvd SE, Owens Cross Roads, AL 35763
45. Ditto Landing Mural
You’ll find the Ditto Landing mural, by local artist Sonya R. Clemons, along the side of the State Docks building. There’s a newly paved road that will take you to a parking lot right beside the mural, but the best way to get there is by walking along the Tennessee River Greenway / Singing River Trail.
Location: 293 Ditto Landing Rd SE, Huntsville, AL 35803 at the State Docks building
Bonus: Eggbeater Jesus Mosaic
While not technically a mural, Huntsville’s famous Eggbeater Jesus mosaic fits in really well with a mural tour. The mosaic on the front of the First Baptist Church represents a “cosmic Christ” with robes in a centrifuge of motion. Eggbeater Jesus has been a Huntsville landmark since 1973 and is one of the largest mosaics in the U.S.
Location: 600 Governors Dr SW, Huntsville, AL 35801
