Salt Life Food Shack is a great restaurant by the beach. They have sushi, poke bowls, tacos, and burgers as well as a bunch of refreshing mixed drinks.

Enjoy drinks on their a breezy rooftop patio where you can look out at the ocean while you eat; but you have to be quick to score a table up there!

I recommend the Pineapple Mojito (absolutely no one is shocked that the first thing I recommend is a mojito!).

The Sandbar & Kitchen

Enjoy oceanfront dining at The Sandbar & Kitchen. The Sandbar menu offers plenty of seafood options, burgers, wood fire pizza, and more either indoors or out on their patio and beach seating.

Take advantage of their weekly lunch specials, happy hours, live music, and trivia events.

I recommend the White Sangria or the Sandbar Hurricane.

The Palace Saloon is the oldest continually operating drinking establishment in Florida. The building dates back to 1878 and the bar dates back to 1903. Local lore says that it was the last bar in Florida to close on the eve of Prohibition.

They have live music, pool tables, darts, and a backyard area called the Shipyard.

I recommend getting a cup of their world famous Pirates Punch.

7. The Principal’s Office Bar

Located at the historic Amelia Schoolhouse Inn is the aptly named Principal’s Office Bar. This is one time you’ll love being sent to the principal’s office!

Enjoy craft cocktails and wine while being surrounded by school-appropriate décor like the old desk in the corner, the dunce’s hat, and educational wall hangings.

I recommend the School’s Out or the Bear Necessities.

I recommend the Amelia Island Mojito (surprise, surprise).

Beer-lovers in Fernandina Beach will love drinking at Mocama Beer Company. This 3,500 square foot taproom takes up space in an old 50’s car dealership, renovated to embrace its mid-century charm.

There are 24 taps with rotating brews. For non-beer drinkers, they have a wine list full of small producers and rare offerings.

I recommend the Idle Daze sour.

Okay, so I’m sending you out of Downtown Fernandina Beach for this one. But Cantina Louie is worth it!

I recommend the Pomegranate Paloma.
