Girls’ Night Out in Buckhead: 8 Best Bars & Restaurants

Planning a fun night out with the girls? Buckhead has plenty of amazing bars and restaurants that are perfect for spending some much-needed girl time together. Check out these top bars and restaurants for a girls’ night out in Buckhead.

When my best friends and I need a night out, just us girls, we head to Buckhead for a night on the town.

Buckhead has a lively bar scene, and their dining ranges from casual to gourmet restaurants. Some of the best chefs in Atlanta have their restaurants in Buckhead.

I’m also a huge fan of the rooftop bars in the area during the summer. And in the winter, there’s no shortage of great indoor spaces, from classic bars to places with unique themes.

We’ve spent a few months trying out different places for drinks and for dinner. All of these restaurants are great for both dinner and drinks, though, so it doesn’t matter what you go for!

Where to Get Dinner and Drinks in Buckhead

1. Pricci

Charcuterie Board at Pricci Buckhead

What we did: Dinner & Drinks

Pricci is an upscale Italian restaurant that serves classic Italian dishes with a modern flair. They have great pasta dishes, including a truffle special where the chef will come shave your truffle table-side for you.

We started off with a charcuterie board, truffle and parmesan fries, and a round of their fun-flavored martinis. Then we moved on to pasta for our main dishes.

2. The Southern Gentleman

The Southern Gentleman

What we did: Dinner & Drinks

The Southern Gentleman is a chic Southern-inspired gastropub. It’s outdoor patio is connected to the Gypsy Kitchen’s patio next door.

Our waitress gave us great recommendations from the menu. We started off with their Cheddar Hushpuppies and Whipped Pimento Cheese as appetizers. For my main, I had their Buttermilk Fried Chicken. Their drinks are also amazing; we tried the Scarlet Belle, Pack of Mules, and Sweet Carrousel.

3. The Garden Room

Cocktails, The Garden Room, Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia

What we did: Drinks

The Garden Room is a chic, Instagrammable restaurant and is notoriously hard to get a reservation for. This hotspot is consistently booked full. We managed to get lucky and get a table for three the day of, probably thanks to someone else’s cancellation, but your other option is to walk in as soon as the place opens and grab a seat at the bar.

This immersive garden bar is just like have (spiked) tea in a lush garden. It’s a little oasis in the middle of the city. We went with the cocktails Bend & Snap, I Love Lychee, and Send Noodz.

Get ready to pay a lot for the pleasure of drinking here. Their innovative craft cocktails, while delicious and fun with really cute names, are all $19. Their food menu is mostly sharable plates ranging from $15 for fries to $75 for lobster. While it’s a fun experience and they did a great job with the drinks and décor, I recommend just coming for a drink to start the night and then heading somewhere else.

4. Chai Yo Modern Thai

What we did: Drinks

Chai Yo Modern Thai serves contemporary takes on classic Thai dishes. While we didn’t try the food here, their menu gets great reviews. The concept is run by award-winning Chef/Owner DeeDee Niyomkul, who also runs Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft and Nan Thai Fine Dining.

They’ve got some great names for their drinks, like Thai Me Down and Phuket All. We ordered drinks that were more on the sweeter side than these, though, opting for their Lychee Cosmo, Yuzu Mao, and Chai Talay.

5. Gypsy Kitchen

Gypsy Kitchen Food

What we did: Dinner & Drinks

Gypsy Kitchen has an eclectic mix of Spanish tapas alongside Moroccan- and Indian-inspired dishes. Get a mix of tapas to share, and definitely go for a carafe of their sangria.

I love that the restaurant has two spacious rooftop patios, one covered and one uncovered. From here, you can enjoy views of the Buckhead skyline out across Buckhead Village.

6. St. Julep

St. Julep Rooftop Bar

What we did: Drinks

St. Julep is a trendy rooftop bar on the top of the Kimpton Sylvan Hotel. They serve cocktails and snacks, and sometimes they have a live DJ on the weekends.

Their cocktail menu changes, but I’ve only had good drinks here. In the summer, they had a great mojito-like cocktail. This time, I went for a tropical, 3-rum drink, which they put in a glass that looked like a pineapple.

7. The Iberian Pig

Sangria, The Iberian Pig, Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia

What we did: Dinner & Drinks

The Iberian Pig is a modern Spanish tapas restaurant that is great for a girls’ night out. Their menu is inspired by the Iberian Peninsula, so you can find plenty of cured meats and cheeses, including the famed Jamon Iberico.

We loved their Iberico Croquetas and Gambas Al Ajillo. We also got a pitcher of their house sangria to share and it was phenomenal.

3150 Roswell Rd NW Suite A3, Atlanta, GA 30305

8. Lucian Books and Wine

What we did: Drinks

Lucian Books and Wine is a wine bar, bookshop, and restaurant. The bookshelves have coffee table books on art, music, fashion, and food that you can flip through while you dine or purchase.

There wasn’t any seating available at the bar when we went, but we were allowed to get a glass of wine and check out the books.
