Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas is a massive ship with more to do than just laze around at the pool all day (though they have plenty of pools and hot tubs so you can do just that if you please). Here are the most fun activities on Oasis of the Seas.
The Best Activities on Oasis of the Seas
1. Rock Climbing
There are two 43-foot high rock climbing walls on the ship, which you can access from the Boardwalk. They even have special climbing sessions at night! This was definitely one of the most popular activities on Oasis of the Seas.
We go rock climbing regularly at home, and some of these courses were hard even for us!
Be sure to bring socks as well as shorts and a shirt that will cover your thighs and stomach where the harness goes, or else they won’t let you climb.
2. Putt-Putt Golf
The mini golf course was harder than it looked, mostly because the Astro-Turf had some weird warps and deformities throughout. But it was a fun and low-key way to pass the time, nonetheless.
The zip-line is 82 feet long and nine decks up. This will send you soaring well above the Boardwalk. There can be a long wait for such a short amount of fun. But a zip-line is always a good time, so we were down for it.
Same deal as with rock climbing — you’ll need socks and clothing that covers where the harness goes.
4. FlowRider Boogie Boarding
We decided to start with the easier one— boogie boarding. I definitely almost lost my bathing suit on this (hence why I put the t-shirt on), so that’s something to be aware of.
If you fall off, you’ll usually get a couple chances to try again depending on how long you were surfing for. If you luck out and get a fun lifeguard, he’ll help you out and tell you to do silly poses and talk you through hoping up onto your knees and fun stuff like that.
5. FlowRider Surfing
The second FlowRider surf simulator is the more difficult surfing one. If you fall off here, they’ll usually give you one more shot depending on how long you stayed up for.
The lifeguard will help you get onto the board and keep you steady for a bit before letting you go on your own. We didn’t last very long on this one, so I don’t think I’ll be actually surfing any time soon.
6. Ice Skating
Ice skating is probably my favorite activity on the Oasis of the Seas! I love ice skating!
Sign up early if you want to go ice skating. You’ll need to make sure you bring long pants, socks, and a light jacket.
The ice skating rink is only open for a limited time because they have to prepare for the ice skating show.
One of the best times to sign up is during a sea day when you just might get the entire ice to yourself!
