These pumpkin patches and family-run farms in and around Smyrna are the perfect place to grab a pumpkin for carving since they’re easy access near Atlanta. Get into the fall spirit and make the most out of pumpkin season!

1. Smyrna First United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch

Smyrna, Georgia

Every year, the Smyrna First United Methodist Church unloads hundreds of pumpkins and gourds in all shapes and sizes at the end of September.

There are large pumpkins, tiny pumpkins, medium pumpkins, knotty green and yellow gourds, and even sleek white pumpkins perfect for your modern Halloween décor.

The pumpkins are priced by size. All you have to do is measure your pumpkin against the display sizes.

Proceeds from the Smyrna First United Methodist Church pumpkin patch benefit different church groups each year, like local youth ministries, foreign missions, and the Boy Scouts.

Visiting Smyrna First United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch

Dates: September 20, 2025 to October 31, 2025, or until the pumpkins run out, whichever comes first.

Hours: The pumpkin patch is “open” (meaning there’s someone there to work the register) weekdays from 4:30 p.m. — 8 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. — 8 p.m.

But they have a box there at all times so all you have to do is measure up your pumpkin to decide which price best fits it and put your cash in the box. Even if you come by late at night, you can still pick your pumpkin!

2. Sleepy Hollow Farm

At Sleepy Hollow Farm in Powder Springs, you can have all sorts of fall fun during their Fall Fest!

They have tractor rides, a corn maze, a pumpkin patch, kids games, a farm playground, and farm animals. There’s also an Escape Woods escape game and a country store.

To get access to the pumpkin patch, you’ll have to purchase a general admission ticket. Then you’ll get 2 hours of fun on the farm!

Pumpkins are sold separately, and prices range depending on size.

The pumpkin patch at Due West United Methodist Church is a great place to get your pumpkins this fall.

Their pumpkins come straight from a sustainable supplier in New Mexico every year.

You’ll find all different shapes and sizes of pumpkins and gourds at this community pumpkin patch.

They also offer story time and marshmallow roasting on Saturday nights in October.
