Located at Town at Trilith, a unique filmmakers community south of Atlanta, Trilith Guesthouse is flourishing with art, literature, and film decor, the perfect retreat for a creative soul. And as a literary person, I found myself rested, inspired, and creatively energized after my stay here. There were so many stand-out details, from the Oliver Twist-themed rooftop bar to the Instagram-worthy outdoor pool.

We visited Trilith to tour Trilith Studios and learn about Atlanta’s film industry, and our stay at Trilith Guesthouse afterwards brought the whole experience full circle. Trilith Guesthouse Review

Trilith Guesthouse opened in 2024 as part of Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio of independent boutique hotels. The hotel is designed to be a welcoming space for creatives and storytellers, fitting seamlessly into the filmmaker community of Town at Trilith.

Located at the entrance of the cobblestoned streets of Town at Trilith, this hotel is the perfect retreat south of Atlanta. From their rooftop bar to the outdoor pool to their modern twists on classic stories, there’s a lot to love about Trilith Guesthouse.

The Guest Room

Trilith Guesthouse has 193 rooms, including 36 apartment-style studios and one-bedroom suites.

We stayed in a Classic King Room with an extremely comfortable king-sized bed, a unique wardrobe that contained a mini-fridge and pull-out coffee tray along with plenty of clothing storage space, a small table, and a lounge chair. Our view looked out over the main street of Town at Trilith.

The bathroom was sleek and spacious. It had a white-quartz-top vanity, an oversized lighted mirror with a nightlight at the bottom, a walk-in rain shower, and deliciously-scented bath products. There were also plenty of hooks for our towels, which is such a small detail but is often overlooked in a lot of modern hotels.

I did have to use my eye mask to sleep because, although the hotel had great blackout shades, there was so much ambient lighting from the electronics in the room.

We also noticed our room was right under the bar upstairs, which meant we could sometimes hear water running possibly from the dishwasher (honestly, it was kind of soothing) and their heavy bar chairs scraping (not as much as I would have expected though). We could also hear the live music from other restaurants down on the street. Thankfully, none of these noises lasted too late at night (I don’t think anything went past midnight), but my noise machine definitely came in handy.

The Amenities

Pool at Trilith Guesthouse, Town at Trilith, Fayetteville, Georgia

One of my favorite amenities at Trilith Guesthouse is their outdoor pool. This is the perfect place to unwind with a refreshing swim, or to relax in their in-pool lounge chairs with a drink in hand (there’s just something about a lounger in pool that I love).

For the fitness-oriented, the hotel also has a 24-hour fitness center, complimentary bike rentals, and easy access to the lake-side walking trails just behind the property.

Plus, Trilith Guesthouse has a culinary studio that hosts public events like interactive cooking classes and wine tastings.

The Restaurants & Bars

Trilith Guesthouse has two onsite restaurants and bars so you don’t have to wander far for a good meal.

  • Prologue Dining & Drinks is the lobby restaurant and bar that serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. They have a delightful literary theme and a delicious Southern-fusion menu.
  • Oliver’s Twist Bar & View is the rooftop bar that serves literary cocktails and pub bites with a side of rooftop views over Town at Trilith.

We ate at both, and our favorites were the Breaded Wings with the Harissa sauce and the Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast from Prologue and the Oliver’s Cocktail from Oliver’s Twist.

The Town at Trilith

Town at Trilith, Fayetteville, Georgia

Town at Trilith is a unique community that was built to support Trilith studios as a live-work-play space for those in the film industry and other creatives.

One of the unique things about Town at Trilith is its new-urbanism design. So it’s like it’s own little city, where you’re never further than a 10 minute walk from one side of the neighborhood to the other.

There are local shops, functional art, homes that look like movie sets, nature trails, and restaurants. Plus, there’s the Trilith Studios Tour that gives you a behind-the-scenes look at Atlanta’s filming industry.

Trilith Guesthouse is right at the entrance of Town at Trilith, so you’re just a few steps away from Trilith’s main street where you can go shopping, eat at some great local restaurants, eat ice cream, and relax in the community parks.

Benefits of Staying at Trilith Guesthouse

Trilith Guesthouse, Town at Trilith, Fayetteville, Georgia

Trilith Guesthouse is a really unique stay where you’re right at the heart of Town at Trilith. This is one of the best short-stay options if you want to experience the community and the Trilith Studios tour, since many of the vacation rental options are long-term stays (catering to film industry professionals here on a job).

The location is great because you can walk everywhere. Local shops, restaurants, bars, and even a high-tech grocery store are just a few feet away. You can easily walk to the Trilith Studios tour meeting point, where you’ll then get chauffeured around on a trolley. Plus there are plenty of parks and walking trails so you can get out in nature without having to go far.

The hotel itself is very comfortable. As a literature nerd, I loved all the literary and storytelling touches. Our room was huge and spacious, so you’re not getting a cramped space like you would in other urban areas. Plus, I love the convenience of a rooftop bar onsite (I’m a huge fan of rooftop bars, after all).

What I didn’t love

While we enjoyed our stay at Trilith Guesthouse, there are a few potential drawbacks I wanted to mention.

The noise from the rooftop bar and nightlife outside were not ideal. Thankfully they didn’t go too late, but if you’re an early-to-bed or light sleeper, you may want to make sure to get a room facing the lake and further from the bar. I also recommend bringing along a noise machine; I use this on every trip I take.

I feel like I’m in a constant battle with hotels and the light from their electronics. If light bothers you at night too, be sure to bring along a trusty eye mask.

The AC has a few peculiarities. We had an issue getting our room to cool, and maintenance was very responsive and helpful, but they did tell us that the thermostat doesn’t like being set to 65 and will cut off if its set to that (which is the lowest setting available). He recommended getting the room cooled a couple degrees at a time before setting it lower with the fan on High instead of Auto, and then going no lower than 66.

I also don’t love that they only offer valet parking and there isn’t a self-park option. Luckily, valet here isn’t as expensive as at most Atlanta hotels, but still.

Good To Know

  • Valet parking
  • Free WiFi
  • Complimentary bike rentals available
  • Outdoor pool
  • Pet-friendly
  • Smoke-free property

Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Trilith Guesthouse!
