When I first learned about Atlanta Brick Con, I knew I had to take Kevin — he’s a huge LEGO fan. So we (and a few friends… all adults, by the way) headed out to explore this Atlanta LEGO convention and see what all the hype was about.

If you’re wondering whether Atlanta Brick Con is worth the visit, here’s what to expect and how to make the most of it.

The main building is a tall red structure shaped like a bucket with large cartoon eyes and a beak-like yellow nose, labeled ‘Kentucky Fried Bricken’ with a LEGO-style Colonel illustration. Below are striped awnings and glass storefront windows. Smaller LEGO buildings and a street scene surround it, with minifigures, a food stand, and road pieces on a display table.

What to Expect at Atlanta Brick Con: Top Things to Do

Whether you’re a lifelong LEGO lover or bringing curious kids for a day of fun, Atlanta Brick Con is packed with interactive experiences, jaw-dropping creations, and hands-on activities. Here’s what you won’t want to miss:

1. Shop Rare LEGO Sets & Custom Creations

If you’ve ever spent hours trying to track down a missing mini-figure or that one rare piece to complete a set, the vendor hall will feel like LEGO heaven.

You’ll find both new and vintage sets, plus hard-to-find mini-figures, bulk bricks, and collector’s items. Kevin and I even got to build our own custom LEGO mini-figures — his wore a snazzy sweater vest, while mine rocked an all-purple outfit (on brand, of course).

Beyond the bricks, vendors like ATL Brick, Bricker Builds, and Brick Mania offer everything from LEGO jewelry to detailed art prints and fidget toys made from bricks.

2. Marvel at Massive Fan Builds

Siege weapons and carts sit on a brown terrain base, while a rocky gray mountainside rises on the right, creating a dramatic battlefield setting displayed indoors at Atlanta Brick Con.

If your kids love LEGO, they’ll light up the moment they see the sprawling city build buzzing with mini figures.

The fan creations are truly the heart of Atlanta Brick Con.

Think giant LEGO cities buzzing with mini-figures, elaborate train systems weaving through tunnels, and builds that bring your favorite movies and TV shows to life — all made entirely from bricks.

One of the coolest parts? Many displays include hidden Easter eggs for kids (and adults!) to hunt for, turning it into a low-key scavenger adventure.

This isn’t just a look-and-don’t-touch event. Atlanta Brick Con has dedicated build zones where visitors of all ages can get creative.

From adding a skyscraper to the Architecture Zone to letting kids loose in the LEGO Kids Zone, there’s space for everyone to build. You’ll also find STEM stations, art areas, and thousands of bricks to bring your ideas to life.

4. Join in Races, Games & Challenges

Get competitive at the Race Ramps, where you can build a LEGO car and see if yours is fastest down the track.

Prefer a more hands-on challenge? Try your skills at the Challenge Zone, where builders compete in timed competitions and freestyle builds. There’s even an RC LEGO car off-road race that had everyone cheering from the sidelines when we went!

5. Meet LEGO Celebrities and Characters

Throughout the event, you’ll spot life-sized LEGO characters roaming the convention — perfect for photo ops!

And don’t skip the speaker sessions: You can hear directly from LEGO Masters contestants, seasoned Master Builders, and even a few surprise guests like magicians and fan-favorite creators.

It’s a great way to hear behind-the-scenes stories and get inspired by what’s possible with just a pile of bricks.
