Rhythm on Monroe is one of Huntsville’s hottest rooftop bars and restaurants. In the dining room downstairs, you can get music-inspired dishes from burgers and sandwiches to filets and pork chops.
Up at the rooftop bar, space is first-come-first-served, and you can order from a small shareable menu and delicious cocktail and beer menu.
I recommend getting the Classic Rock Burger or the Yardbird Jive Club Sandwich. Then grab a Back in Blackberry Mojito and head upstairs to enjoy the view of Downtown Huntsville!

2. The Bottle Restaurant
European, Upscale
The Bottle is a fine dining restaurant that specializes in Southern cuisine with a French influence. Their menu features rotating seasonal creations, so you’re always in for something new and exciting.

3. Sam & Greg’s Pizzeria Gelateria
Pizza, Gelato
Sam & Greg’s Pizzeria Gelateria has been a Huntsville staple for years. Located on the Square, Sam & Greg’s offers handmade, made-to-order pizzas, like the Deluxe with mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham, and bacon or the Key West with mozzarella, chicken, ham, artichokes, black olives, and mango.
They also have handmade gelato in a variety of flavors from classic vanilla and chocolate to unique flavors like Lavender or Spicy Hot Chocolate.
I recommend getting the Pesto Margherita Pizza or a classic Meat Lovers.
116 Southside Square, Huntsville, AL 35801
4. Honest Coffee Roasters
Coffee, Breakfast
Honest Coffee Roasters is a local hotspot serving food, acai bowls, and of course plenty of delicious coffee. The is the place to go in Downtown Huntsville for ethically sourced coffee that is meticulously roasted and expertly brewed.
For an honestly tasty breakfast, try the Bom Bom Bowl with acai, cacao powder, granola, bananas, strawberries, almonds, cacao nibs, and local honey. For lunch, try the Chicken Basil Pesto Panini with chicken, basil pesto, Havarti cheese, spinach, and tomato pressed on naan bread.
I recommend trying the Hot Chocolate on a cold winters day.

5. MELT
Sandwiches, Comfort Food
MELT is a delicious concept that originally began in 2011 as a grilled cheese food truck. The food truck is retired now, but MELT has three brick-and-mortar locations in Alabama serving classic comfort food with a twist.
You can still get a Classic Grilled Cheese, but I highly recommend branching out and trying any of their other amazing sandwiches.
I recommend trying the Ole Smokey or the Chicken Pesto sandwiches.

8. Oshi Poke Bowl and Sushi
Japanese, Sushi, Poke

This is only one of a couple places where you can get a poke bowl in the city. They have a number of signature bowls, or you can build your own. They also have Sushiritos, a burrito version of your favorite sushi rolls.

It’s a small space with limited seating and a large island bar. Their menu features a lot of vodka-centric cocktails, beer on tap, and classic American and Southern food. When the weather is nice, they’ll roll up the large garage doors on the front wall for the perfect view of the bustling downtown street below.
