Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas is a massive ships with a lot going on. The performances on the ship are some of the best parts of the cruise. Here are the shows you won’t want to miss on-board the Oasis of the Seas:
Oasis of Dreams
Oasis of Dreams takes divers, dancers, and acrobats and puts them together for a high-diving aqua show in one of the deepest pools at sea. The Olympic-level dives and the synchronized swimming make this a popular show on the Oasis. This show is the most likely to be rescheduled due to rain.
Frozen In Time
Frozen In Time is my favorite show because it’s an ice skating show. You’d never expect to find an ice skating rink on a cruise ship, but that’s exactly what you get on Oasis of the Seas, making this a truly unique show. The show retold some Hans Christian Anderson’s most famous fairy tales on ice, including “The Ugly Duckling”, “The Emperor’s New Clothes”, “The Red Shoes”, and “The Snow Queen”. The material is very kid-centric, but the flips and jumps and turns are incredible, Olympic-level figure skating that you don’t want to miss.
Cats is a hit Broadway musical about (surprise, surprise) cats. The musical was composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and is based off a book of poetry by T.S. Eliot. Each of the cats is introduced to you with a song and a dance. The plot of the play follows the Jellicles cat tribe as they make the Jellicle Choice that determines which cat goes to the Heaviside Layer and begins a new life.
Come Fly With Me
Come Fly With Me is a Cirque du Soleil-esque show with music, dancing and incredible acrobatics. The performers fly above the audience, walk up walls, and do many other cool tricks.
Adult Comedy Show
The adult comedy show is always booked up every time we try to reserve a space, that’s just how popular it is. If anyone manages to score a seat, let me know how this show is because I really wanted to see it!
The show times will vary depending on your trips sea days and port days, and sometimes shows have to be canceled and rescheduled due to weather or choppy waves (you wouldn’t want the divers missing their marks because the boat is lilting back and forth! Yikes!). But there are plenty of performances, so you can fit all of these in to one trip and make sure you don’t miss a thing!
