10 Things to Do at Town at Trilith in Fayetteville, GA

Lights, camera, action! Town at Trilith is the perfect destination for film-lovers and creatives of all kinds. From studio tours to nature trails, there are so many fun things to do at Town at Trilith.

Step into Town at Trilith, the Fayetteville neighborhood that feels like a movie set, mostly because it kind of is. Trilith was built to support Trilith Studios as a live-work-play space for production and film crew, actors, producers, and developers. But there’s so much more to Trilith that’s great even if you’re not a film professional.

Touring Trilith Studios is the biggest draw, but there are tons of other fun things to do in Trilith. We got to see everything this unique neighborhood has to offer, from a rooftop bar to local shops to functional art at every turn.

A special thanks to Town at Trilith for hosting us for a weekend. As always, all opinions are my own.

Top Things to Do in Trilith

1. Trilith Foundation Studio Tour Experience

On the Trilith Foundation Studio Tour Experience, you’ll get a behind the scenes look at Trilith Studios, the largest TV and film studio in Georgia. Some of the highest grossing films of all time were filmed here, like Spider Man: No Way Home and Avengers: Endgame.

On the 1.5 hour guided trolley tour, you get to go onto the studio lot to see sound stages, props, and filming locations. You’ll hear stories of how the studio started (originally Pinewood Atlanta Studios started as a collaboration between Chick-fil-A’s Dan Cathy and a UK film studio) and funny anecdotes about your favorite actors.

One of my favorite parts was being able to visit inside a blank sound stage and experiencing just how huge they are; sometimes this experience isn’t available because of what may be filming (and you never know who you may see around).

2. Stay at Trilith Guesthouse

Trilith Guesthouse is the signature hotel at Town at Trilith. This boutique Marriott Tribute Portfolio hotel is inspired by storytellers and has creative elements throughout.

Situated right at the main entrance of Town at Trilith, the hotel puts you right on the “main street” where you’re steps away from all the local shops and restaurants.

The hotel has an onsite restaurant, a rooftop bar, a heated outdoor pool, and a fitness center.

The rooms are sleek and spacious. We stayed in a Classic King Room with a comfortable bed, a mini-fridge and pull-out coffee tray, and walk-in shower with a rain shower head. It was the perfect place to relax on our weekend in Trilith.

3. Admire the Architecture

Unlike other modern developments where all the homes look the same, every house in Trilith is different. Different inspires creativity, and that’s what Trilith is all about.

Trilith is also kind of like a living film set, so if a film needs a location that’s a home on the Italian countryside, a colonial inn, a treehouse, or an English cottage, there’s likely a home around town that can fit the bill.

So every street looks completely different. There are apartments, townhomes, single family homes, and even tiny homes. There are 19 different parks that the homes are set around. And small alleyways connect the streets, making it so you’re never more than a 10 minute walk from one side of town to the other.

You can take the Trilith Bike Experience that combines a studio tour with a neighborhood tour so you can learn about the building of the community and see the architecture from a bike. Or you can simply walk around, take a stroll through the parks, and see the homes at a milder pace.

4. Experience Local Art

Part of Trilith’s charm is all of its local art. Creativity is dispersed throughout the community, from murals adorning the buildings to sculptures decorating the sidewalks.

There’s also so much functional art — the street lamps have multiple different designs, the pavilion over the giant TV on the community green is held up by two hands, the playground and gazebos made natural wood and keep a rustic design.

A great way to explore Trilith’s art scene is by picking up the Trilith Foundation Art Experience scavenger hunt map, which you can purchase a The Funky Shack Trilith.

5. Eat at Prologue Dining & Drinks

Prologue Dining & Drinks is the lobby restaurant and bar at Trilith Guesthouse. Their menu features upscale fusion with Southern charm made with locally sourced ingredients. And their menu has delightfully literary touches sprinkled throughout (like calling their appetizers “Short Stories” and their sandwich options “Between the Pages”).

They serve brunch and dinner, and we tried both!

For brunch, we had the Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast and the Blueberry Maple Pancakes with a side of bacon. They have a great selection of hot teas as well.

For dinner, we started with the Breaded Wings with the Harissa sauce. To drink, we had The Longfellow and the James & The Giant Peach. For our mains, we had the NY Strip Steak and the Spring Vegetable Linguini with Spring Herb Chicken. For dessert, we had the Chocolate Molten Lava Cake and the Salted Caramel Cheesecake.

6. Get Rooftop Drinks at Oliver’s Twist Bar & View

Oliver’s Twist Bar & View is the rooftop bar at Trilith Guesthouse. Up on the fifth floor, it offers a view of The Town at Trilith.

The bar’s name comes from Charles Dickens’ classic rags-to-riches story Oliver Twist. Their menu features elevated pub fare that pays homage to London, literary cocktails, and rotating draft beers.

They have some of the same cocktails as at Prologue, but also a few signatures. We had Oliver’s Cocktail and Te Quil A Mockingbird.

7. Shop Local

Though Town at Trilith is technically a neighborhood in Fayetteville, they’ve really made it feel like its own town. There’s a “main street” that’s full of shops and restaurants, so you can shop locally.

Scholar & Scribe is the local bookshop that holds local author signings and soon will have a wine bar. The Funky Shack Mercantile and Flower Market is the local flower shop. Leyland Blue sells women’s apparel and home decor.

There’s even an automated grocery store, Nourish + Bloom Market, where you can skip the check-out line and simply shop and go.

8. Eat at CT Cantina & Taqueria

Mini street tacos from CT Cantina & Taqueria, Town at Trilith, Fayetteville, Georgia

CT Cantina & Taqueria is a Mexican restaurant that captures Trilith’s theatrical side with decorations like velvet curtains and marquee signs.

They have indoor seating, a covered open-air patio, and outdoor seating. I highly recommend one of the outdoor options during the summer when the weather is nice.

We got their mini street tacos with steak, chicken, shrimp, al pastor, barbacoa, and tinga.

9. Cool Off at Honeysuckle Gelato

Honeysuckle Gelato is one of the best ice cream shops in Atlanta, with their first location opening at Ponce City Market.

They offer delicious flavors like Butter Pecan Blondie, Lemon Raspberry Crumble, and Salted Caramel Brownie. In addition to cups and cones of gelato, they also serve baked goods and other treats, as well as wine and beer.

We got a cup with Peanut Butter Cup and Cinnamon Roll and a Waffle Cup with Lemon Raspberry Crumble and Fresh Mint Chip.

10. Walk the Trails

Trilith has a planned 12 miles of walking trails and cycle-friendly pathways.

We walked the trail around the lake behind Trilith Guesthouse. This was an easy 0.6 mile loop from the hotel and around the lake.

We also walked part of the wetlands trail that follows along the perimeter of the residential area. The loop from the hotel to the entrance of the wetlands trail near the Micro Homes and along the perimeter of the residential area and back to the hotel through the town center was about 1.5 miles.

Not all of the trails have been completed yet, so the wetlands trail has an offshoot to the right that basically leads to nowhere, but it’s just a short 0.1 mile detour, so it’s not a big deal if you accidentally find yourself on that.
