Foothill Grill is the best place in Dahlonega for breakfast. This small, family-owned diner serves all-day breakfast and Southern classics for lunch.

It looks like a hole-in-the-wall from the outside, but the parking lot is always packed. The locals love it, and it’s a Saturday breakfast hot spot.

They’re known for their fresh, homemade cinnamon rolls (which are huge), their fresh biscuits, huge portions, great prices, and friendly staff.

I recommend the Biscuits & Gravy, a Breakfast Platter, and the Cinnamon Roll.

They’re known for their huge burgers with unique toppings, their friendly bartenders who can mix you up something amazing, and their delicious tater tots.

I recommend the Laveau Voodoo and the Rude Awakening burgers.

3. Shenanigans

Shenanigans is an Irish pub just off the historic Dahlonega Square. The restaurant is tucked away in the basement of the historic Strickland house, the walls covered in dollar bills, live entertainment nearly every night, and the largest beer selection in town.

The interior is dim and a little cramped, just like an authentic Dublin pub. They also have a covered patio and an open-air deck that is pet friendly.

They’re known for their authentic classic Irish dishes, like fish & chips and shepherd’s pie. They’re also one of the best places in town to hear live music.

I recommend the Guinness Chicken & Mash and the Paddy Melt.

On the menu, you’ll find Cajun-inspired favorites made with sustainably sourced seafood. They serve brunch, lunch, and dinner.

I can recommend their Gator Bites and their Shrimp Po’ Boy or a Crawfish Po’ Boy. Finish your meal with a plate of giant, delicious Beignets.

Their bento boxes come with rice, corn edamame salad, fried gyoza, fried meat ball, sausage, and lettuce pickle, with your choice of protein. They also have tacos and boba tea.

I recommend the Tonkotsu Zen Ramen, the Fried Pork Gyoza, and the Tonkotsu Kamikaze Ramen if you like spicy.

I recommend their Spice Infused Cold Brew and a muffin or fresh-baked bread from the bakery.
