2. Candy Rush in Marietta

World of Illumination is bringing back their drive-through holiday light display in Marietta at Six Flags White Water. This year’s theme is Candy Rush, featuring a mile-long ride through a delicious gingerbread village with sweets all around. You’ll see displays like gingerbread men, lollypops, a popcorn tunnel, ice cream, and more. As the world’s largest animated drive-through light show, it will be a mesmerizing event.

8. A Country Christmas at Pettit Creek Farms

Pettit Creek Farms in Cartersville presents A Country Christmas where you can experience all the warmth and charm of a Southern family Christmas. Drive or take a hayride through more than a mile of Christmas lights decorating the farm. The event also offers a chance to meet Santa and his reindeer, a nativity scene and petting zoo, campfires, s’mores, and more.

Event Dates: November 27, 2025 through December 30, 2025 from 6 p.m. — 9 p.m. (Tuesday-Thursday), 6 p.m. — 10 p.m. (Friday-Saturday), and 6 p.m. — 9 p.m. (Sunday). Closed on Mondays.

Price: Tuesday-Thursday prices: $30 per car (1-8 people), $35 per van (9-15 people) $45 per bus (16-22) and $3 for each additional person. Friday-Sunday prices: $35 per car, $40 per van, $50 per bus. $3 for each additional person for groups of more than 22. $10 per person for the hayride.

9. Lights of LIFE at Life University

Drive-Through Holiday Lights

Lights of LIFE at Life University is an annual tradition that runs from Thanksgiving Day to New Years Eve. Started in 1989, it is one of the most popular holiday light shows in Atlanta, covering a 1.5 mile drive with more than one million bulbs. The event also offers train rides, a petting zoo, and a concession stand.

Event Dates: November 27, 2025 through December 31, 2025 from sunset (approximately 5:30 p.m.) — around 9-10 p.m.

Price: $10 for cars and trucks; $20 for buses

10. Lights of Joy in Kennesaw

Walk-Through Residential Holiday Lights

The incredible residential Lights of Joy display was a 2019 contestant on ABC’s Great Christmas Light Fight. It’s also the largest residential Christmas light display in Georgia with over 850,000 lights. The home features more than 230 lighted trees, and one tree even has over 20,000 lights in it alone. There are five musical trees, the house, and other sections of the yard that synchronized to Christmas music on the radio. You can park across the street and walk to see the lights, especially the inside circle area that you can’t see from the road.

Event Date: November 20, 2025 through December 28, 2025 from 6 p.m. — 10 p.m.

Price: $5 per person, plus a parking fee of $5 at the church across the street.

11. Holiday Lights Hope of Woodstock

The annual Holiday Lights of Hope at Hobgood Park in Woodstock is a Christmas celebration benefiting the Anna Crawford Children’s Center. This light display features more than 2 million lights, concessions, a visit from Santa, and more.

Event Dates: November 29, 2025 through December 30, 2025 from 6 p.m. — 9 p.m. (Sunday-Thursday) and from 6 p.m. — 10 p.m. (Friday-Saturday). Closed December 24-25.

12. A Whole LOT of Christmas in Stone Mountain

A Whole LOT of Christmas in Stone Mountain has been decorating their home for the holiday season for over 30 years. The whole house and yard are decked out with snowflakes, Santa’s Workshop, a Snowman Village, Toyland, your favorite Disney characters, and more. When you visit, you can make a donation to Georgia Make-A-Wish.

Event Dates: November 16, 2025 through December 31, 2025 from 5:30 p.m. — 10 p.m. with extended hours later in the season

13. Light the Station at Atlantic Station

See the 50-foot tree on the Atlantic Green lit for the first time this season during Atlantic Station’s Light the Station event! There will be a parade, a DJ, and then the Christmas tree will be lit at 7 p.m.

16. Maple Avenue in Marietta

The residents of Maple Avenue in Marietta, and the surrounding area near Marietta Square, have a tradition of hanging spheres of Christmas lights. These lighted balls hang above the streets, in the trees, and all around the homes along the street. You can drive through the area for a free and unique holiday light display.

17. Lights on Jubilee in Powder Springs

Lights on Jubilee is a residential holiday light show with more than 40,000 lights set up and synchronized to music. This display features LED trees, two 7-foot-tall candy canes, and a 22-foot long “Merry Christmas” sign made by the family themselves. Santa often visits the display to hand out candy canes.

18. Christmas on Amberwood in Lawrenceville

Christmas on Amberwood is a free residential holiday light display in Lawrenceville. They have been decorating their house every year since 2008, and now they boast over 130 inflatables that they put out for the season and 20,000+ lights.

19. Hrockin Hranicky Christmas Light Show in Acworth

The Hranicky family puts on a magical Hrockin Hranicky Christmas Light Show each year at their home in Acworth. The show features an array of moving lights synchronized to music on the radio. They accept donations for Angels Among Us Pet Rescue at the red Snoopy dog house tied into the display. You can leave your pet food, toys, animal supplies, blankets, towels, cleaning supplies, and cash at the dog house.

Stop by and walk through the Portwood Family Christmas Lights in Hiram. There are tons of lights, inflatables, and holiday decorations for you to explore. This year, they’re collecting sock donations along with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office from November 29-December 16 and canned goods for the North Paulding Baptist Church from November 29-December 31.

21. Felix Family Christmas Lights in Dallas

Residential Holiday Light Display

The Felix Family Christmas Lights display in Dallas is an animated home light display that’s been going on for 18 years now. They cover their home with thousands of lights that move to holiday music.

Event Dates: November 29, 2025 through the end of the season. From dusk — 10 p.m. on weeknights and from dusk — 11 p.m. on weekends.

22. Christmas on Bolingbrook Drive

Walk-Through and Drive-Through Residential Holiday Lights

The McGraw family began decorating their Marietta home with thousands of lights in 2014. Since then, their neighbors have joined the fun and the whole street is lit up for the holiday season. From Thanksgiving Day to New Year’s Day, you can walk through the McGraw’s yard and drive through the holiday lights on Bolingbrook Drive for free.

23. Fox Family Christmas Lights

Walk-Through Residential Christmas Lights

The Fox Family Christmas Lights features more than 75,000 lights synchronized to music. You can walk through the interactive display, which has handmade animated features, snow machines, a memorial tree, and an ornament and letters to Santa craft station. Santa also makes a stop at the house occasionally for free photo ops.

24. Riley’s Rockin’ Christmas in Kennesaw

Riley’s Rockin’ Christmas in Kennesaw features more than 60,000 LED lights synchronized to approximately 55 minutes of holiday music. They’re now in their 14th year of lights. You’ll listen to tunes from your favorites like Frozen and Polar Express on the radio as you enjoy the show. Make donations to the Children’s Burn Foundation in the red Santa’s mailbox to the right of the driveway.

26. Holiday Lights at the Village Green in Smyrna

The city of Smyrna lights up the Village Green with holiday lights every year. Lights are set up all around Market Village and the newly renovated Village Green. The lights kick-off with the Home for the Holidays event on December 2 with Santa lighting the Christmas tree at 7 p.m.

Jeremy Smoot and his wife Rosalind put up more than 70,000 LED Christmas lights every year for their Smoot Family Christmas Light Show in memory of his mother Debbie. The family collects donations for The Lupus Foundation of America, Georgia Chapter to help fight the disease that took Debbie’s life.

31. Lawrenceville Lights

The Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church has decorated Lawrenceville Campground with hundreds of thousands of lights. You can drive through the free Lawrenceville Lights display during two weekends in December.

Event Dates: December 11, 2025 through December 13, 2025 and December 18, 2025 through December 20, 2025 from 6 p.m. — 8:30 p.m.

32. Ashebrooke Night of Lights

Drive-Through Residential Lights

The Ashebrooke subdivision in Cumming hosts its annual Night of Lights every year on the third Sunday in December. Houses in the neighborhood are lit up like the Griswolds and luminaries line the streets. For the event, you’ll enter the subdivision at Luke Drive and follow the set traffic pattern through the neighborhood.

Event Dates: December 21, 2025 at 6 p.m. is the official night with luminaries, but the neighborhood is usually lit up all season long starting on December 1, so feel free to drive through any time

33. Holly Springs Lights at First Baptist Church of Holly Springs

Residential Holiday Light Display

Holly Springs Lights is a free light show at the First Baptist Church of Holly Springs. The show starts every half hour. You’ll just drive up, sit in your car, tune your radio to the special station, and enjoy the lights! Donations benefit First Baptist Church Holly Springs Community Outreach and the Friends of Holly Springs Police Foundation.

Event Dates: 2025 dates TBD, but they’re currently working on putting up the lights. November 29, 2024 through the season from 6 p.m. — 11 p.m. nightly

34. Due West UMC Light the Night

Walk-Through Holiday Lights

Due West United Methodist Church is hosting a self-guided walking tour of more than 500,000 lights, ornaments, and inflatables called Light the Night. You won’t want to miss West Cobb’s tallest Christmas tree or the biggest chicken west of the Big Chicken. There will be holiday entertainment, photo ops, and Christmas games. Donations benefiting the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta are accepted at the entrance. Use the Due West Road entrance located between Due West UMC and Due West Elementary School.

Event Dates: 2025 dates TBD. December 1, 2024 through January 8, 2025 from 5:30 p.m. — 9 p.m.

  1. Great list. I didn’t see it but you should add Ashbrooke Subdivision in Cumming to the list. Large subdivision where the majority of the homes (over 300 homes) are lit up like the Griswold’s. It is free to drive through but they do have a donation box to benefit a local charity. The official night (it will be crazy crowded) is the 18th but most everyone has their lights on all month.
