14 Best Atlanta Rooftop Bars For Drinks with a View

If I have the option to drink on a rooftop, I’m choosing the rooftop every time. One of my favorite things about Atlanta is that there are plenty of amazing rooftop bars where you can sip cocktails while taking in skyline views.

As an Atlanta local, I’ve learned that a rooftop bar here can mean anything from a chic Buckhead cocktail lounge to a casual patio overlooking Oakland Cemetery, so there’s something here for whatever kind of night you’re planning.

Whether you’re planning a girls’ night out, a romantic date night, or just want a great sunset view, these are the Atlanta rooftop bars I recommend starting with. I’ve personally visited all of these rooftop bars, and focused my list on ones that offer a mix of views, atmosphere, drinks, food, and locations I’d actually recommend for a night out in Atlanta.

Four cocktails from O-Ku Rooftop Bar in Atlanta, Georgia line a weathered bar top at night, including pale pink and yellow drinks in coupe glasses and two tall mixed drinks with black straws. The softly lit rooftop crowd in the background makes the scene feel like a stylish evening out with friends.

Atlanta Rooftop Bars Quick Picks

Not sure which Atlanta rooftop bar to choose? Here’s where I’d start:

Best Rooftop Bars in Atlanta

1. Rosé & Rye at the Hotel Colee

📍 Buckhead Rooftop Bar

Rosé & Rye is the rooftop bar and lounge atop the Hotel Colee in Buckhead. This hotspot provides glamourous views of the city as well as handcrafted drinks and a laid-back vibe.

You’ll ascend to the top of this trendy Buckhead hotel in an all-glass elevator to the bar’s perch 125 feet above the city. There are two outdoor patios, a beautiful mural, and floor-to-ceiling light installations that are a total vibe. This rooftop bar is very Buckhead.

When we ate here, we tried their a Sunset Paradise and a Cru Love cocktails, along with the Thai Chili Rosé & Rye Wings, Crispy Fries with a fried egg on top, Beef Sliders, and Chicken Sliders.

Hotel Colee was nice enough to host us for a stay. Read my full review of Hotel Colee here.

3377 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30326

2. SkyLounge at the Glenn Hotel

📍 Downtown Atlanta Rooftop Bar

Located on top of the historic Glenn Hotel in downtown Atlanta‘s Centennial Park District, SkyLounge at the Glenn is consistently voted one of the best rooftop bars in Atlanta by a number of travel websites and travel magazines.

The covered outdoor lounge overlooks Centennial Park and the Skyview Ferris wheel while showcasing a view of Atlanta’s iconic skyline.

SkyLounge is my pick for first-time visitors who want a classic Atlanta rooftop with skyline views.

I recommend The Centennial, their cocktail celebrating the 100th anniversary of this historic building. They also have a few small plates like a delicious Cheddar Bacon & Jalapeno Dip and a Hummus.

3. Spaceman at the Hyatt Centric Buckhead

📍 Buckhead Rooftop Bar

Two hands hold small plastic cups of pale golden cocktails with black straws and lime wedges, raised in a toast against a wide green treetop view and soft blue sky, as seen from Spaceman Rooftop Bar at the Hyatt Centric Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. The matching drinks and open rooftop backdrop make the moment feel relaxed, summery, and shared.

Spaceman is located up on the 15th floor of the Hyatt Centric Buckhead hotel and is Atlanta’s highest rooftop bar and lounge. The bar has both indoor and outdoor lounge areas, covered seating, heaters, and panoramic-views, making it the perfect spot to hang out year-round.

This is one of my favorite rooftop bars in Buckhead when I want something that feels trendy but still relaxed.

Spaceman was nice enough to host us for an evening to try out their rooftop. They have a small menu of sharable dishes (the Parmesan Pommes Frites and Smash Burger are delicious) and aptly-named craft cocktails (like the Stardust, Super Nova, and Cloud 15).

Come for sunset when you can watch the sun go down behind the Buckhead condos and office buildings in a brilliant display.

3301 Lenox Pkwy, Atlanta, GA 30326

4. Aerial Kitchen & Bar at Epicurean Atlanta

📍 Midtown Atlanta Rooftop Bar

Night skyline featuring illuminated high-rise buildings against a dark sky with trees and a parking area in the foregrounds, as seen from the Sky Terrace at Epicurean Atlanta Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.

Aerial Kitchen & Bar is located on the 9th floor Sky Terrace of the Epicurean Atlanta hotel in Midtown. It’s located by the pool, which is only available to hotel guests, but the bar itself is open to the public.

Epicurean Atlanta was nice enough to host us for a stay, though we got rained out of trying the rooftop bar. Still, I was able to walk around and see that it’s a great set-up that feels like you’re at a resort. Their menu is Mexican-inspired with food items like tacos and tortas and cocktails like mojitos and margaritas.

You can sit back on the Sky Terrace that has cozy seating, fire pits, and a great view of Midtown. I’d choose this one for a relaxed Midtown hotel rooftop feel rather than a big night-out party vibe.

Epicurean Atlanta was nice enough to host us for a weekend. Read my full review of the Epicurean Atlanta hotel here.

Ninth Floor, 1117 W Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309

5. The Rooftop at Hotel Clermont

📍 Poncey-Highland Rooftop Bar

The Rooftop at Hotel Clermont is one of the hottest rooftop bars in Atlanta. (It’s seriously hot up there; the summer sun can be brutal, even with the covered canopy!)

This rooftop is covered with AstroTurf for a lush setting, has plenty of seating, offers street food from the rooftop’s own food truck, has skyline views for days, and serves frosé in the summer and hot toddies in the fall. There’s plenty to love about Hotel Clermont’s rooftop bar!

I’d go closer to sunset in the summer so you can still get the views without baking in the afternoon heat.

789 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30306

6. St. Julep at the Kimpton Sylvan Hotel

📍 Buckhead Rooftop Bar

Two drinks sit on a white rooftop table by a wire mesh window at St. Julep Rooftop Bar in Atlanta, Georgia, including a pink cocktail in a coupe glass with a cherry garnish and a yellow cup printed "St Julep" with another cherry and straw. The branded cup, skyline view, and bright patio setting make the scene feel playful and perfect for rooftop drinks with a view.

The St. Julep rooftop bar on the 9th floor of the Kimpton Sylvan Hotel is an indoor/outdoor space with cozy seating and views of the Buckhead skyline.

Sip delicious craft cocktails and local craft beers, and snack on funky craveable shareable plates or soft serve ice cream. On the weekends, they have a DJ to set the stage for your night out with amazing city views. This is a good Buckhead rooftop bar for a dressed-up night out that still feels fun and playful.

I recommend their Coconut Mojito or the Belle of the Ball. And definitely try their boozy soft-serve ice cream.

374 East Paces Ferry Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30305

7. The Roof at Ponce City Market

📍 Poncey-Highland Rooftop Bar

Rooftop view of the Atlanta city skyline on an overcast day, with a building sign reading "The Sideshow." People are playing mini-golf on artificial turf at Skyline Park at The Roof at Ponce City Market in Atlanta, Georgia.

There are actually two separate bars at The Roof at Ponce City Market, plus Skyline Park which also serves drinks, but I’m going to lump them all together for the purpose of this post.

12 Cocktail Bar at RFD Social serves classic cocktails in an intimate, indoor setting at The Roof. 9 Mile Station, meanwhile, is a rooftop beer garden with great views of Atlanta.

The Roof is extra unique because of Skyline Park, a rooftop amusement park with rides, games, and yes, alcohol. I’d choose this one when you want your rooftop drinks to come with something to do, not just somewhere to sit.

675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30308

8. Live! at the Battery

📍 Rooftop Bar at The Battery

Nighttime view from an elevated patio at Live! at the Battery in Atlanta, Georgia overlooks a brightly lit entertainment district street, with a glowing "Coca Cola Roxy" venue sign and neon lights standing out against the dark sky. The open railing and city lights make the scene feel energetic, like the start of a concert or night out.

If you need a break from the huge party going on inside the multi-story sports bar and entertainment space at Live! at the Battery, you can take your drink out to the rooftop bar.

There’s not much to the view — just the flashing lights of the Coca-Cola Roxy — but it’s still a good place to enjoy the summer breeze.

I’d choose this more for the game-day atmosphere or a night out with friends when you want loud music and easy drinks.

825 Battery Ave SE #600, Atlanta, GA 30339

9. Gypsy Kitchen

📍 Buckhead Rooftop Restaurant & Bar

Long wooden table and chairs sit on an open air patio at night at Gypsy Kitchen in Atlanta, Georgia, framed by patterned orange curtains and warm hanging bulbs, with city buildings and trees visible beyond the railing. The quiet seating area and nighttime skyline make the space feel cozy, elevated, and set up for drinks or dinner outdoors.

Gypsy Kitchen in Buckhead has an eclectic mix of Spanish tapas alongside Moroccan- and Indian-inspired dishes.

The restaurant has two spacious rooftop patios, one covered and one uncovered. This is one of the better rooftop restaurants in Atlanta if you want dinner and drinks instead of just cocktails. From here, you can enjoy views of the Buckhead skyline out across Buckhead Village.

I recommend their Sangria or the 50 Shades of Purple cocktail to drink, and their Moroccan Spiced Lamb Skewers and their Seafood Paella to eat.

3035 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30305

10. The Marquee Club at The Fox

📍 Midtown Atlanta Rooftop Bar & Lounge

Rooftop patio of the Marquee Club at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia at night overlooks downtown buildings, with the glowing vertical "FOX" theater sign lighting the left side of the scene and tables spread across the terrace below. The mix of city lights, brick architecture, and open air seating makes the space feel like a stylish rooftop spot before or after a show.

The Fox has its very own exclusive rooftop bar. The Marquee Club features multiple levels of cozy seating across their main floor lounge, mezzanine, rooftop conservatory, rooftop terrace, and arcade rooftop terrace.

To get in, you’ll have to purchase an annual membership or upgrade your ticket on a per-event basis. It’s an iconic rooftop spot overlooking the Fox marquee and Peachtree Street. I’d save this one for a Fox Theatre night since the access is part of what makes it special.

We were even able to add it on to a Fox Theatre Ghost Tour ticket, so it doesn’t always have to be an expensive show upgrade.

660 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30308

11. O-Ku Atlanta

📍 West Midtown Rooftop Restaurant & Bar

Four cocktails from O-Ku Rooftop Bar in Atlanta, Georgia line a weathered bar top at night, including pale pink and yellow drinks in coupe glasses and two tall mixed drinks with black straws. The softly lit rooftop crowd in the background makes the scene feel like a stylish evening out with friends.

O-Ku Atlanta‘s Midtown location serves up innovative Japanese sushi and cuisine in a cozy rooftop setting.

The bar used to have a great view of the Atlanta skyline, but unfortunately it doesn’t have this view anymore because of a new apartment complex that went up. (Check out the next bar on this list that has basically O-Ku’s old view.) But it’s still a great rooftop with phenomenal drinks and sushi.

The covered rooftop bar is complete with twinkling lights, lounge seating, and delicious cocktails. I’d still pick O-Ku for a date night when the food matters just as much as the rooftop setting.

Westside Ironworks, 1085 Howell Mill Rd NW A3, Atlanta, GA 30318

12. Drawbar at the Bellyard, West Midtown Atlanta

📍 West Midtown Rooftop Restaurant & Bar

Three hands raise colorful cocktails against a soft evening Atlanta skyline, including a pale lavender drink, a tall pink orange drink with fruit, and a dark berry colored cocktail. The city view and shared toast make the moment feel celebratory, social, and perfect for rooftop drinks at sunset at Drawbar at the Bellyard Hotel in West Midtown Atlanta, Georgia.

Located at The Interlock in West Midtown, Drawbar is the Bellyard Hotel‘s elevated patio lounge. It isn’t exactly a rooftop bar, but I’m including it on this list because it still has the views and the secluded vibes of a rooftop bar.

Drawbar has a Southern-inspired menu and a constantly changing list of fun craft cocktails. And the sweeping views of the Atlanta skyline is absolutely beautiful. You also don’t have to worry about the weather because the patio is covered.

I recommend their Mojito or a Gin-Tai.

Interlock Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30318

13. Six Feet Under Pub & Fish House

📍 Grant Park Rooftop Restaurant & Bar

Three soft tacos sit in a round metal basket lined with paper on a wooden ledge at Tin Lizzy's Cantina in Grant Park in Atlanta, Georgia, topped with diced tomato, sauce, and colorful crunchy garnishes, with leafy trees, historic Oakland Cemetery, and a quiet road blurred in the background. The casual outdoor setting and close view make the tacos feel like a relaxed patio meal with a neighborhood view.

The Grant Park location of Six Feet Under Pub & Fish House has a great rooftop with a view out over the Historic Oakland Cemetery (hence the restaurant’s name).

This is a relaxed seafood restaurant with a raw bar, steamed shellfish menu, seafood platters and baskets, and seafood tacos. This is the rooftop I’d pick for a casual meal, especially if you want seafood and drinks without a dressy rooftop scene.

I recommend the Catfish Tacos to eat and their Watermelon Basil Bash or their Tombstone Tea to drink.

437 Memorial Dr SE Suite #1A, Atlanta, GA 30312

14. Azotea Cantina

📍 Atlantic Station Rooftop Restaurant & Bar

Azotea Cantina is a rooftop Mexican restaurant and bar in Atlantic Station. This colorful spot has a fun open-air patio, Mexico City-inspired dishes, and plenty of tequila and margaritas.

This is a great rooftop bar for a casual night out, especially if you’re already spending time in Atlantic Station. It’s less about skyline views and more about the lively atmosphere, tacos, queso, and drinks with friends. This is where I’d go when I want rooftop drinks without making the night feel too fancy.

The rooftop patio has a bright, festive feel that makes it perfect for warm Atlanta evenings. I recommend the Lavender Princess, the Passionate & Committed, a House Margarita, or their Strawberry Margarita.
