Atlanta Botanical Garden gets festive for the holidays with nearly 2 billion lights for the 7th annual Garden Lights, Holiday Nights!
Garden Lights, Holiday Nights
Nearly 2 billion light bulbs cover the grounds of Atlanta Botanical Garden. The main event of Garden Lights, Holiday Nights is the new Nature’s Wonders display featuring a forest of 1,600 synchronized light strings dancing in time with classical music in Storza Woods. The Garden’s “Earth Goddess” has been transformed into an “Ice Goddess” covered in blue twinkling lights.
Other highlights include the Tunnel of Lights that’s a rainbow of fun, the elaborate miniature world of Model Trains, the gorgeous Twinkling Terrace with carolers, the dancing Orchestral Orbs on the Great Lawn, and the Botanical Bears topiary keeping warm inside the Dorothy Chapman Fuqua Conservatory.
The Longleaf Cafe is open for dinner, along with a snack bar and the Glow Bar for drinks and small drink carts throughout the Garden. You can also purchase hologram glasses for $2 that put fun shapes inside the lights. We bought the gingerbread man glasses, and they were so much fun, I’m still wearing them around the house!
Garden Lights, Holiday Nights is on display until January 7, 2018, rain or shine – and the rain didn’t dim the fun one bit!
