Atlanta Mission aims to end homelessness. It’s Atlanta’s largest and longest-running provider of community services to the homeless. Volunteers can help provide dining and food services, childcare, spiritual services, vocational support, campus beautification, and more.

3. United Way of Greater Atlanta

United Way of Greater Atlanta works to improve the lives of children, families, and communities across Greater Atlanta’s 13 counties. Everybody Wins! Atlanta works to improve literacy for children and develop a love a reading in students. Women’s Entrepreneurial Opportunity Project fosters the economic advancement of women of color who are self-employed or small business owners. El Refugio is a hospitality house near Stewart Detention Center that offers free lodging, meals, and support to families visiting immigrant detainees. They also provide support for those coming out of the detention center.
